Why this one
Three seat heights
Three seat heights at 18, 21 and 24 inches, so the rollator matches the user's height.
Nimble indoors
Smaller wheels are nimble on smooth floors and easier to turn in tight spaces, and lighter to lift.
Type 3 version available
The same rollator is available as the Trillium 3 on larger wheels, if you are outdoors daily.
The seat matters
Being able to sit anywhere is why people go further from the house and stay out longer.
Four colours
Available in black, blue, pink and red across the size range.
Not a walking frame
Steadies you rather than taking your weight. For weight-bearing support, choose a Type 1 frame.
About this product
The Trillium 2 is a Type 2 rollator for indoor and light outdoor use, in three seat heights and four colours.
Seat heights
- Small, Mini, 18 inch seat height
- Medium, Regular, 21 inch seat height
- Large, Tall, 24 inch seat height
Sit on it before choosing. Feet flat on the floor, knees at roughly a right angle. Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with your arms relaxed.
Type 2 or Type 3
Wheel size is the practical difference, and terrain decides it.
Smaller Type 2 wheels are nimble on smooth floors and easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces, and the whole rollator is lighter to lift. Larger Type 3 wheels roll over pavement cracks, gravel and grass that a Type 2 catches on.
So if most of your walking is inside the house, around an apartment building, or on smooth flat surfaces, this will suit you. If you are out on pavements and uneven ground every day, the Trillium 3 is the same rollator on bigger wheels.
The seat changes what people do
Being able to sit down anywhere means people go further from the house and stay out longer. That affects a great deal more than mobility, and it is the main reason to choose a rollator over a walking frame.
It is not a walking frame
A rollator steadies you. It is not built to be leaned on heavily, and weight on an unbraked rollator is a common cause of falls. If you need genuine weight-bearing support, a Type 1 frame is the right aid.
Colours and funding
Black, blue, pink and red. Type 2 rollators appear in the Assistive Devices Program device list, subject to clinical criteria, with the category determined by the assessor.
