About this product

The MC6000TiltPed is the paediatric version of Nuprodx's tub transfer system. Like the adult model it works as a mobility chair, a commode chair and a tub access slider, so a child transfers once at the bedside rather than being lifted onto a toilet and then into a bath.

Why that matters more for a child

Lifting a child in and out of a bathtub is what parents and carers do until they physically cannot, and the point at which it stops being possible often arrives suddenly, as the child grows. This system moves the child seated, the whole way, which removes the lifting before it becomes an injury for the parent or a fall for the child.

Support built around a smaller body

An adjustable padded headrest, adjustable back angle and adjustable calf support, all of which matter for a child who cannot hold their own head or trunk position through a long bathing routine. Tilt-in-space is operated by a rack and pinion hand crank, so a parent controls the position precisely.

Flip-up cantilever arms clear the side of the chair for transfers, and the swing-away footrests adjust and move out of the way.

Into the tub or the shower

A mesh cover lets water through rather than holding it. The system fits over standard and taller ADA compliant toilets and into almost any bathtub or shower, and it converts a non-accessible bathroom into a usable one without remodelling, which for a family facing a growing child and a fixed bathroom is usually the decisive point.
