About this product
The Nuprodx MC6000Tilt is three pieces of equipment in one: an in-home mobility chair, a commode chair, and a tub access slider. The point of combining them is that it requires only one transfer, at the bedside, and eliminates the transfers onto the toilet and into the tub, which is where bathroom accidents happen.
Tilt around the centre of mass
Most tilt systems pivot from the back of the chair, which swings the occupant backwards and needs a longer frame to stay stable. The MC6000Tilt keeps the user's weight centralised through the whole tilt range, so the footprint stays much smaller.
In a domestic bathroom that is the difference between a chair that fits and one that does not. Tilt is operated by a rack and pinion hand crank, so a carer controls the position precisely rather than fighting a release.
Crossing into the tub
A patented connector bridge spans the tub wall, and the seat rolls across it on Derlin wheels running in self-aligning tracks. Nuprodx describe it as the smoothest rolling transfer system available, and the self-aligning part matters: the tracks pull themselves into line rather than needing perfect placement.
The bridge is removable, which sounds minor and is not. With it off, the shower curtain closes properly, so the person showers in privacy rather than with the bathroom open to the room.

Aircraft-grade aluminum, brass and stainless steel throughout, so nothing rusts or corrodes. The cushions are hand-wrapped Naugahyde, chosen for softness and texture for people prone to skin breakdown, which is a real consideration for anyone spending extended periods seated on a commode aperture.
Fit
Standard seat is 17 by 17 inches with a 17 by 20 option. Seat to floor adjusts from 23.25 to 25.5 inches, and the roll-in section is 22 inches wide measured from the crank handle to the opposite arm pad. It fits over standard and taller ADA compliant toilets and into almost any bathtub.
