About this product
The Little Wave Clik is Ki Mobility's rigid chair for children, built on the same 7000 series aluminum construction as their adult performance frames. A rigid frame is lighter and loses less of each push to flex, which for a child learning to propel is the difference between keeping up and falling behind.
Everything about the Clik is built around growth. Seat height, width, depth, centre of gravity, caster wing position, upholstery and seat pans all adjust. Width growth uses in-frame Xpanders rather than bolt-on cross bars, which keeps the frame's structural integrity intact and adds no weight until the day it is needed. Depth growth of up to 3 inches is specified on the order form at no extra charge, so it is built in and waiting rather than requiring new parts later.
The Index System
The frame carries dimples at pre-aligned positions, so an adjustment lands where it should instead of being set by eye. For a chair that a parent or therapist will re-adjust repeatedly over years as a child grows, taking the guesswork out is worth more than it sounds.
The XP, and what it includes
Ki offers this chair as the XP and the XPe. They are the same chair with the same options. The XP includes a one-time growth kit in the base price, while the XPe has a lower base price without it. This is the XP, so the growth kit is included.
