Zorbi Comfort Plus Commode by AMG
A redesigned 3-in-1 commode with a seat 20 percent larger than standard, and details aimed at making emptying easier.
Why this one
20% larger seat
The seat is curved and 20 percent larger than other non-bariatric homecare commodes, which makes real difference to comfort.
Two-way pail access
Top and back access to the pail, so it comes out from whichever side is easier rather than one fixed direction.
Grab tabs
Grab tabs on the seat and cover keep hands further from waste while opening and closing.
Built-in splash guard
The splash guard is built into the moulding rather than clipping in, so there is one less part to remove and refit.
Seven height settings
Seven height settings from 16 to 22 inches floor to seat, so it fits a wide range of people.
Moulded armrests
Moulded armrests give something solid to push up from and steady yourself with when sitting down.
3-in-1, no tools
Works as a bedside commode, a toilet safety frame or a raised toilet seat, and assembles without tools.
Zorbi bag compatible
Part of the Zorbi bag system, which replaces emptying and rinsing a pail. A sample bag is included.
About this product
AMG redesigned this commode from the ground up, and the changes are practical ones aimed at the two people involved: the person using it and whoever empties it.
A seat that is actually comfortable
The seat is curved and ergonomic, and 20 percent larger than other non-bariatric homecare commodes. That extra width matters because a standard commode seat is narrow, and sitting on a narrow hard rim is uncomfortable enough that people rush or avoid it.
The curve is designed to reduce strain on the back, and the moulded armrests give something solid to push up from and to steady yourself with while sitting down.
Designed around emptying it
This is the part most commodes ignore, and it is the part a carer deals with several times a day.
There is top and back access to the pail, so it can be removed from whichever side is easier rather than wrestled out from one fixed direction. Grab tabs on the seat and cover keep hands further from waste while opening and closing. A built-in splash guard is part of the moulding rather than a separate clip-in piece, so there is one less thing to remove, clean and refit.
All surfaces are smooth to make cleaning straightforward.
Zorbi bags
It is part of AMG's Zorbi system, which uses absorbent hygienic bags instead of emptying and rinsing a pail. For anyone finding the emptying difficult or distressing, that is worth asking about. A sample bag comes with the commode.
Fit and setup
Seven height settings from 16 to 22 inches floor to seat, on a steel frame, with tool-free assembly. It works as a bedside commode, a toilet safety frame or a raised toilet seat.
