Trillium 3 Rollator, Tall Handles
The Trillium 3 with a taller handle range on a regular 21 inch seat, for anyone stooping over a standard rollator.
Why this one
Tall handles, regular seat
A regular 21 inch seat with a taller handle range, for someone who needs both rather than one or the other.
Two different measurements
Seat height follows lower leg length and handle height follows overall height, and they do not always match.
Stooping is the problem
Handles set too low make you stoop, putting your weight forward of your feet where it should not be.
The sign to look for
If someone leans forward over their rollator, handle height is the first thing to check.
Same frame otherwise
Otherwise the standard Trillium 3, with larger wheels for real terrain and a seat for resting.
ADP funded
A funded device under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to criteria.
About this product
The Trillium 3 with tall handles, on a regular 21 inch seat height frame.
Why tall handles exist as a separate product
Seat height and handle height are two different measurements, and they do not always come from the same person.
Seat height follows lower leg length: the seat needs to let the feet rest flat with knees at roughly a right angle. Handle height follows overall height and arm length: the handles should sit at the crease of the wrist with the arms relaxed.
Most people fit a standard combination. Some do not. A tall person with a shorter lower leg, or anyone who finds a standard rollator's handles slightly too low even at maximum adjustment, needs a taller handle range on a regular seat height.
That is exactly what this is: the regular 21 inch seat, with more handle height available.
Why it matters
Handles set too low make you stoop. Stooping puts your weight forward of your feet, which is the opposite of what a rollator should do, and it causes back and shoulder pain over time.
People often accept it because the rollator otherwise fits, and then find walking uncomfortable without knowing why. If someone is leaning forward over their rollator, handle height is the first thing to check.
Everything else is the Trillium 3
A Type 3 rollator with larger wheels for real terrain, a seat for resting, and the same frame as the standard model.
