Features & Benefits

Why this one

Three seat heights

Three seat heights: X18 at 18 inches, X20 at 20 inches and X23 at 23 inches.

400 lb option available

A Bariatric XWD frame carries 400 lbs on an extra wide frame with a 20 inch seat height.

Do not push the limit

Ask about the bariatric frame if the user is near a standard rollator's limit, rather than assuming.

Built for outdoors

Larger wheels roll over pavement joints and kerb cuts instead of stopping dead at them.

Handles adjust too

Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with arms relaxed.

ADP funded

A funded device under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to criteria.

About this product

The Airgo Excursion is a Type 3 rollator available in three seat heights, plus a bariatric wide frame.

Seat heights

  • X18 / Small, 18 inch seat height
  • X20 / Medium, 20 inch seat height
  • X23 / Large, 23 inch seat height

Sit on it before deciding. Feet flat on the floor, knees at roughly a right angle. Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with your arms relaxed at your sides.

A 400 lb option

The Excursion Bariatric XWD carries 400 lbs on an extra wide frame with a 20 inch seat height. That is a high capacity for a rollator, and it is the answer where a standard frame is not rated for the user or is simply too narrow to sit on comfortably.

If the user is near the limit of a standard rollator, ask us about it rather than assuming a standard frame will do. A frame flexing under load feels unsafe, and someone who does not trust their rollator will walk without it.

What Type 3 means

Larger wheels for real terrain. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program describes the Type 3 wheeled walker as the type most suitable for active use on most terrains.

Bigger wheels roll over pavement joints and kerb cuts rather than stopping dead at them, and make gravel or grass manageable. If nearly all your walking is indoors, a Type 2 rollator is lighter and easier to turn in a hallway.

The seat is the point

Knowing you can sit at any moment is what makes a longer walk possible. People confident they can rest go further and stay out longer.

Funding

Type 3 rollators are funded devices under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to clinical criteria.
