Carbon Ultralight Rollator, Pale Rose
A carbon fibre rollator in pale rose, light enough to lift easily and finished to look nothing like medical equipment.
Why this one
Carbon fibre frame
Carbon fibre is much lighter than aluminium at the same strength, which shows every time it is lifted.
Light enough to travel
A few pounds decides whether a rollator travels in the car or lives in the hallway unused.
Restores going out
Worth looking at if someone has stopped going out because managing the rollator is too much.
Will not corrode
Carbon fibre does not rust, which matters through Ontario winters and salted pavements.
Not clinical grey
Pale rose rather than clinical grey, and equipment people like the look of actually gets used.
Check the capacity
Lightweight frames carry less weight than heavy duty ones, so tell us the user's weight first.
About this product
A carbon fibre rollator in a regular frame, finished in pale rose.
Carbon fibre, and why it costs more
Carbon fibre is significantly lighter than aluminium at the same strength. On a rollator that translates directly into how easy it is to lift into a car, up a step, or onto a bus.
That lifting is usually done by the person with the mobility problem, or by a spouse who is not much steadier themselves. A few pounds is the difference between a rollator that travels and one that lives in the hallway, and a rollator left at home does nothing at all.
If someone has stopped going out because managing the rollator is too much, this is the category to look at.
It also does not corrode
Carbon fibre does not rust. For a rollator used through Ontario winters, on salted pavements and wet in a car boot, that matters over the years.
A colour that is not grey
Pale rose rather than the usual clinical grey or black. That sounds trivial and is not: equipment people like the look of gets used, and equipment that looks medical often gets resisted, particularly by someone using a rollator for the first time.
Fit
Sit on it: feet flat on the floor, knees at roughly a right angle. Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with your arms relaxed.
The trade-off
Lightweight frames generally carry less weight than heavy duty ones. Tell us the user's weight and we will confirm this frame is suitable before you order.
