Features & Benefits

Why this one

Three seat heights

Three seat heights: 18 inches mini, 21 inches regular, 24 inches tall, so the rollator matches your height.

Built for outdoors

Larger wheels roll over pavement joints and kerb cuts instead of stopping dead at them.

Handles adjust too

Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with arms relaxed.

Know the trade-off

Wider and heavier than a Type 2, so less nimble indoors and more of a lift into a car.

Not a walking frame

Steadies you rather than taking your weight. For weight-bearing support, choose a Type 1 frame.

ADP funded

A funded device under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to criteria.

About this product

The Trillium 3 is a Type 3 rollator, built for outdoor use, in three seat heights and four colours.

Sized by seat height

  • Small, Mini, 18 inch seat height
  • Medium, Regular, 21 inch seat height
  • Large, Tall, 24 inch seat height

Sit on it before deciding. Your feet should rest flat on the floor with your knees at roughly a right angle. Too high and you perch and cannot push up properly; too low and standing from it is hard work.

Handle height adjusts separately, and should sit at the crease of your wrist when you stand upright with your arms relaxed. Set too high your shoulders hunch, too low and you stoop, and both make balance worse rather than better.

What Type 3 means

Larger wheels for real terrain. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program describes the Type 3 wheeled walker as the type most suitable for active use on most terrains.

Bigger wheels roll over a pavement joint or a kerb cut instead of stopping dead at it, and they make gravel and grass manageable rather than a hazard. The trade is size and weight: a Type 3 is wider and heavier than a Type 2, so it is less nimble in a narrow hallway and more of a lift into a car.

If nearly all your walking is indoors, a Type 2 rollator will suit you better.

It is not a walking frame

A rollator steadies you and carries your things. It is not built to be leaned on heavily, and weight on an unbraked rollator is a common cause of falls. If you need genuine weight-bearing support, a Type 1 walking frame is the right aid.

Colours

Black, blue, red and pink across the size range.

Funding

Type 3 rollators are funded devices under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to clinical criteria, with the category determined by the assessor.
