Why this one
Three seat heights
Three seat heights: 18 to 19 inches small, 22 inches medium, 24 inches large, so it matches your height.
Built for outdoors
Larger wheels for real terrain, which the ADP describes as most suitable for active use on most terrains.
Handles adjust too
Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with arms relaxed.
Somewhere to rest
The seat is what makes a longer walk possible, because being able to rest is what gets people further.
Four colours
Available in black, blue, red and pink across the size range.
ADP funded
A funded device under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to criteria.
About this product
The Nexus 3 is Human Care's Type 3 rollator, built for outdoor use and available in three seat heights and four colours.
Sized by seat height, not by guesswork
This is the thing to get right, and it is why the sizes exist.
- Small, SuperLow, 18 to 19 inch seat height
- Medium, Low, 22 inch seat height
- Large, Standard, 24 inch seat height
Sit on it. Your feet should rest flat on the floor with your knees at roughly a right angle. A seat that is too high means you perch and cannot push up properly; too low and standing from it is hard work.
Handle height adjusts separately, and should sit at the crease of your wrist when you stand upright with your arms relaxed. Too high and your shoulders hunch, too low and you stoop, and both make balance worse rather than better.
A Type 3 rollator
Type 3 means larger wheels built for real terrain. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program describes the Type 3 wheeled walker as the type most suitable for active use on most terrains, which is a fair summary of who this is for.
If nearly all your walking is indoors, a Type 2 rollator is lighter and turns more easily in a hallway. If you are out on pavements, kerb cuts and uneven ground, this is the one.
Rest is the point
The seat matters as much as the wheels. Knowing you can sit down at any moment is what makes a longer walk possible, and people who are confident they can rest go further and stay out longer.
Colours
Black, blue, red and pink. Tell us which and we will confirm availability in your size.
Funding
