Why this one
Wide frames available
Standard and wide frames, where most rollator ranges adjust for height only.
Room to actually rest
A broader user can sit properly rather than perch, which is what the seat exists for.
Several seat heights
Seat heights from 19 to 23 inches across the range, so it matches the user's height.
Fit two ways
Height and width are separate decisions, and this range lets you make them separately.
Handles adjust too
Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist with arms relaxed.
ADP funded
A funded device under the Assistive Devices Program for eligible Ontario residents, subject to criteria.
About this product
The Evolution Evo is a Type 3 rollator available in standard and wide frames across several seat heights.
Seat heights and frames
- Low / Mini, 19 inch seat height
- Regular / Medium, 23 inch seat height
- Low Wide, 21 inch seat height on a wider frame
- Wide, 23 inch seat height on a wider frame
The wide frames are the useful part. Most rollators adjust for height only, so a broader user ends up on a seat too narrow to rest on. A wider frame means they can sit properly, which is what the seat is for.
Height and width are separate decisions. Tell us the user's height and their hip width measured seated, and we will work out which frame fits.
Getting the fit right
Sit on it. Feet flat on the floor, knees at roughly a right angle. Handle height adjusts separately and should sit at the crease of your wrist when you stand upright with your arms relaxed.
Handles set too high hunch the shoulders, too low cause a stoop, and both make balance worse rather than better.
What Type 3 means
Larger wheels for real terrain. The Ontario Assistive Devices Program describes the Type 3 wheeled walker as most suitable for active use on most terrains.
Bigger wheels roll over pavement joints and kerb cuts instead of stopping dead at them. If nearly all your walking is indoors, a Type 2 rollator is lighter and turns more easily in a hallway.
