Linen is the summer answer
The commonest complaint about compression socks is heat. A tight garment worn all day through a Canadian summer is genuinely uncomfortable, and that is when people stop wearing them, which is also when swelling is often at its worst.
Linen is exceptionally breathable and moves moisture quickly, so it stays cooler against the skin than synthetic knit or even cotton. If someone has told you they cannot bear compression in warm weather, this is the line to show them.
Colours that are not black
Light Grey and Lavender are deliberately soft, everyday colours rather than the clinical black and beige most compression comes in.
That sounds cosmetic and is not. Compression only works when it is worn, and a garment someone likes the look of gets used where one they dislike sits in a drawer.
