Pride VivaLift! Ultra Lift Chair
Pride's premium lift recliner, with back, footrest, headrest and lumbar all adjusting independently.
Why this one
Everything adjusts separately
Backrest, footrest, headrest and lumbar support each adjust independently, so any position is reachable.
Lumbar support
Adjustable lumbar support matters because back pain is often what limits how long someone can sit.
Infinite position
Feet above the heart for leg swelling, and a genuinely flat position for sleeping in the chair.
For long days in a chair
Worth it for someone in the chair eight to twelve hours a day, where the difference is felt continuously.
Not for everyone
If it is used a few hours each evening to help someone stand, a three position chair costs far less.
Depth over everything
Seat depth matters most: too deep and you slide forward and the lumbar support does nothing.
About this product
The VivaLift! Ultra is Pride's premium power lift recliner, in medium, finished in brown.
What you get at this level
Everything on this chair moves independently: the backrest, the footrest, the headrest and the lumbar support each have their own adjustment.
That sounds like specification for its own sake and is not. Someone who spends most of the day in a chair needs to change position frequently, and a chair where the back and feet move together only offers a handful of positions. Independent adjustment means you can find a genuinely comfortable position at any point in the day, and change it when that one stops working.
Adjustable lumbar support matters particularly, because back pain is often what limits how long someone can sit, and no amount of recline fixes it if the lower back is unsupported.
Infinite position
The back and footrest move separately, which allows Trendelenburg position with the feet above the heart, useful for swelling in the legs, and a genuinely flat position for sleeping.
If someone sleeps in their chair rather than going to bed, which is common with breathing and heart conditions, this is the category of chair they need.
Who it is worth it for
Someone who lives in the chair. If a person is in it eight to twelve hours a day, the difference between a basic chair and this one is felt continuously.
If the chair is used for a few hours each evening and mainly to help someone stand, a simpler three position chair does that job well for considerably less.
Size it properly
This one is the medium. Sizing follows the person's height and weight, and seat depth is what matters most: too deep and they cannot get their back against the backrest, so they slide forward and the lumbar support does nothing.
Come in and sit in it. At this price it is worth the trip.
Before delivery
Measure the doorway and the clearance behind the chair, and check there is a power outlet where it will go.
