MOBB Raised Toilet Seat with Removable Arms
A raised toilet seat adjustable up to 4 inches, with arms that remove and a lock that clamps it to the bowl.
Why this one
Adjustable up to 4 inches
Adjustable up to 4 inches, so the height can be tried and changed rather than guessed at once.
Changes with the person
Covers a changing situation, such as full height after surgery and less as strength returns.
Removable arms
Arms give something to push up from, and remove for a sideways transfer from a wheelchair.
Better in a shared bathroom
With the arms off, the toilet is more usable for everyone else while the seat stays in place.
Locks to the bowl
A locking mechanism clamps the seat to the bowl, so it cannot shift when weight goes onto one side.
Check before use
Check the lock is engaged before each use, particularly after the seat has been off for cleaning.
About this product
A raised toilet seat from MOBB with removable arms and a locking mechanism, adjustable up to 4 inches of lift.
Adjustable height
Being able to set the height up to 4 inches means you can fit it, try it, and change it. That matters because the right height is not obvious in advance: too little does not help, too much lifts the feet off the floor and makes standing less stable.
It also means one seat covers a changing situation. Someone recovering from surgery may need the full height at first and less as strength returns, without buying twice.
Arms that come off
The arms give something to push up from and something to steady against when lowering down. They also remove, which matters in two situations.
For a sideways transfer from a wheelchair, arms are in the way and have to come off. And in a shared bathroom, taking the arms off makes the toilet more usable for everyone else while the seat stays in place.
The lock is the safety feature
A locking mechanism clamps the seat to the bowl rather than resting on top of it. A raised seat that shifts when someone puts weight on one side is frightening, and frightening equipment stops being used.
Check the lock is engaged before each use, particularly after the seat has been removed for cleaning.
Please check the shape
Measure from the seat bolts to the front rim before ordering: about 16.5 inches means standard, about 18.5 means elongated. Ask us to confirm this seat suits your bowl.
