A different solution to the same problem
A long-handled brush reaches your back by extending your arm. A strap works the other way: you hold an end in each hand and draw it across, which needs much less shoulder movement and no grip strength in one hand alone.
That makes it the better choice for anyone with limited shoulder range, a painful rotator cuff, or arthritis in the hands, where holding and steering a long handle is itself the difficulty. It also packs flat, so it travels easily.
Which to choose
If reaching your feet and legs is the problem, a long-handled scrub is better, since a strap does not help there. If it is specifically your back, and raising an arm is painful, the strap is easier.
They are both inexpensive, and plenty of people end up using both.
Care
