Adjustable Wall Bar Shower Set
A handheld shower head on a sliding wall bar, so it can be parked at seated height and left running hands free.
Why this one
Set at any height
The head slides up and down a wall bar, so it can be parked at seated height and left running with both hands free.
Works for everyone
Suits everyone in the household, sliding up for someone standing and down for someone seated.
Frees both hands
A carer can use both hands to wash rather than holding the shower head throughout.
Needs wall fixing
Involves fixing a bar to the wall, so if drilling is not possible a handheld head alone solves most of the problem.
About this product
A complete shower set: a handheld head, a hose, and a vertical wall bar the head slides up and down on. Rather than replacing just the shower head, this replaces the whole arrangement.
Why the sliding bar matters
A handheld head alone has to be held, or put back in a bracket that sits at standing height. With a wall bar, the head can be parked at any height along the rail, so it can be left running at seated height while both hands are free to wash.
That is the difference between a carer having to hold the shower and being able to use both hands, and between a person washing themselves seated or needing help.
It also means one bathroom suits everyone. The head slides up for someone standing and down for someone seated, without anyone adjusting a fixed bracket.
Fitting
The bar is fixed to the wall, so this does involve drilling and fixings, unlike simply swapping a shower head. That needs to be into something solid, and in a rental it may need permission.
If drilling is not possible, a handheld head on its own will still solve most of the problem at lower cost.
