Handheld Shower Head (Shower Wand)
A handheld shower head on a flexible hose, so water goes where you point it rather than at the wall.
Why this one
Water where you need it
Directs water where you point it, which is what makes washing while seated on a bench or bath seat actually work.
Fixes the seated problem
A fixed overhead shower is aimed at a standing person, so seated it sprays the wall rather than you.
Easier for carers
Lets a carer rinse specific areas, keep water off a dressing or cast, and avoid soaking themselves.
Screws straight on
Replaces the existing shower head on the same threaded fitting in most bathrooms, with no plumbing work.
About this product
A handheld shower head on a flexible hose, so the water goes where you point it rather than where the wall bracket points it.
The piece people forget
If someone is washing seated, on a bench, a board or a bath seat, a fixed overhead shower is aimed at where a standing person's head would be. Seated, it sprays the wall and the floor, and the person gets cold while trying to wash under a stream they cannot reach.
A handheld wand fixes that completely, and it costs a fraction of the bench. It is the single most useful thing to add to any seated bathing setup, and it is the thing most often left out.
It also helps a carer
If someone else is doing the washing, directing the water is most of the job. A handheld head lets them rinse specific areas, keep water off a dressing or a cast, and avoid soaking themselves in the process.
Fitting
Most handheld heads replace the existing shower head on the same threaded fitting, with no plumbing work. If your shower arm is unusual, send us a photograph and we will check.
