Why this one
Made for your stairs
The rail is manufactured to your staircase, following its bends, landings and angles rather than being cut from stock.
6 to 8 week lead time
Allow six to eight weeks from project start to installation. Every curved rail is built to order, so this cannot be shortened.
275 or 350 lbs
275 lbs as standard with an optional 350 lb capacity, so the user's weight should be confirmed before the rail is designed.
Swivels and locks at top
The seat rotates up to 80 degrees and locks at the top, so you step off facing the landing rather than twisting on the stairs.
Mounts to the steps
Twin tubular powder coated steel rail mounted to the steps rather than the wall, so wall construction is irrelevant.
Charges at both ends
Charging docks at both top and bottom, so the lift is charged wherever it happens to be parked.
Digital diagnostics
A backlit digital display shows the lift's status, which makes diagnosing a fault far quicker when something needs attention.
Works in a power cut
Battery backup keeps the lift working during a power cut, with an overspeed governor controlling the descent.
About this product
The Infinity is a curved stairlift, which means the rail is manufactured specifically for your staircase. It follows your bends, your landings and your angles, and it will not fit any other house.
What that means in practice
A curved lift starts with a survey. We measure the staircase, record the width, the number of steps and the clearance at top and bottom, and decide how the rail should finish at each end. Those choices matter: the rail can park at 180 degrees, at 90 degrees, or run straight out, and the right answer depends on where the doorways and walkways are.
The rail is then built to those measurements. Allow six to eight weeks from the start of the project to installation. That is normal for any curved lift and worth planning around, particularly if it is needed after a hospital discharge.
The rail itself
Twin tubular powder coated steel, slim enough to sit unobtrusively on the stairs, and mounted to the steps rather than the wall, so wall construction is irrelevant. Rail and seat colours are chosen at order.
Getting on and off
The seat rotates up to 80 degrees and locks at the top landing, so you step off facing the landing rather than turning on the stairs. A powered swivel is available if turning the seat by hand is difficult.
Safety and reliability
Obstacle sensors on the footrest stop the lift if anything is in its path. An overspeed governor controls the descent, there is a retractable seat belt and a key lock, and battery backup means it still runs during a power cut. A backlit digital display shows the lift's status, which makes diagnosing a fault far quicker.
Two charging docks, top and bottom, so it charges wherever it is parked, and two call remotes are supplied.
