Features & Benefits

Why this one

The simple solution

Solves a toilet that is simply too low, at the lowest cost in the category and with no extra bulk.

Feet stay on the floor

Two inches keeps the feet solidly on the floor, which is what makes standing up stable.

Comes with a lid

A lid keeps the bathroom looking normal rather than clinical, which many raised seats do not offer.

Add a frame if needed

Gives height, not support. Pair it with a toilet safety frame if something to push up from is needed.

About this product

A 2 inch raised toilet seat with a lid, from AquaSense. No arms, for a standard round toilet.

When a plain raised seat is the right answer

If the only difficulty is that the toilet sits too low, this solves it simply and at the lowest cost in the category. Two inches raises a standard 15 inch toilet to about 17, which is often all someone needs to make standing manageable.

It also keeps the feet solidly on the floor, which taller seats can compromise, and it takes up no more room than an ordinary toilet seat.

When it is not

It gives height, not support. There is nothing to push up from. If the person needs something to lift themselves with, choose a seat with arms, or keep this seat and add a toilet safety frame around the toilet, which gives arms without changing the height.

That combination is worth knowing about, because it lets you solve the two problems separately rather than buying a taller seat than the person actually needs.

The lid

It has one, which many raised seats do not. That keeps the bathroom looking and feeling normal rather than clinical, and it is more hygienic. In a shared bathroom, or for someone reluctant to have visible medical equipment at home, that matters more than it sounds.

Please check the shape

This seat is for standard, round toilets. Measure from the seat bolts to the front rim: about 16.5 inches means standard, about 18.5 means elongated.
