Features & Benefits

Why this one

Level at the door

Provides the level area at the top of the run, so someone can stop and open a door without holding on a slope.

Prevents rolling back

Arriving at a door while still on an incline is where a chair rolls back, which this section prevents.

Where ramp meets ground

Handles the bottom of the run where the ramp meets the ground and the surface changes.

Works with a transition plate

Paired with a transition plate so the change from ramp to ground is smooth rather than a step.

Positioned by survey

Position is set by the survey, along with the door swing and the direction the person approaches from.

About this product

The entry and exit section is the end of a QRamp run, where the ramp meets the door at the top or the ground at the bottom.

The ends are where problems happen

Most of a ramp is straightforward: a slope the person travels along. The difficult moments are at either end.

At the top, someone arrives at a door. They need somewhere level to stop while they open it, and room to get the door past them. Arriving at a door while still on a slope means holding position on an incline with one hand on the handle, which is exactly where a chair rolls back.

At the bottom, the ramp meets the ground. This is where the surface changes, and where a castor catches if there is a lip.

What this section does

It provides the level area at the end of the run and the correct arrangement where the ramp meets the door threshold or the ground surface.

Paired with a transition plate, it makes the change from ramp to ground smooth rather than a step.

Part of a designed layout

Where the entry and exit sections sit is determined by the survey, along with how the door swings and which direction the person approaches from. Those details decide the whole ramp layout, and getting them wrong makes a ramp that is technically correct and practically unusable.

Tell us the rise, the door arrangement and the space available, and we will design the layout.
