Pride Victory 10 LX Scooter
A full size four wheel scooter with Comfort-Trac Suspension front and rear, for anyone who finds an unsuspended scooter uncomfortable.
Why this one
Comfort-Trac suspension
Comfort-Trac Suspension front and rear absorbs pavement joints and kerb transitions far better than an unsuspended frame.
Made for sore backs
Worth having if back pain, a spinal condition or recent surgery makes the jolting of an ordinary scooter uncomfortable.
Reclining high-back seat
A reclining high back seat with headrest and sliders, 18 by 18 inches, with a 22 inch width available for a broader user.
400 lb capacity
Rated to 400 lbs, so the comfort features do not come at the cost of capacity.
16 miles per charge
Up to about 16 miles on a charge from two 40 AH batteries, enough for a full day out.
Solid 10 inch tires
Ten inch solid tires never puncture, so the suspension smooths the ride rather than relying on tire pressure.
Full LED lighting
A full LED lighting package including kerb and rear lights keeps you visible and shows the ground you are crossing.
Off-board charger
The off-board 5 amp charger can be used away from the scooter, useful if it is stored in a garage or a shed.
About this product
The Victory 10 LX is the comfort-focused member of the Victory range. Its defining feature is Comfort-Trac Suspension, front and rear, which does a noticeably better job of absorbing pavement joints, cracked concrete and kerb transitions than a standard scooter frame.
Who suspension actually matters for
Not everyone needs it. But if you have back pain, a spinal condition, osteoporosis, or you are recovering from surgery, the jolting from an unsuspended scooter over ordinary pavement is genuinely uncomfortable and can be enough to stop you going out. Suspension is the difference between a scooter you use and one that puts you off. If that describes you, this is the model in the range to look at.
Comfort continues at the seat
The seat is a reclining high back with a headrest and sliders, 18 by 18 inches as standard with a 22 inch width available. Being able to recline matters on a long outing in a way it does not on a quick trip.
Range and speed
Up to about 16 miles on a charge at speeds to 5.6 mph, running two 40 AH batteries. That is a solid full day out. Ten inch solid tires never puncture, so the suspension does the work of smoothing the ride rather than tire pressure.
One thing to be clear about
This is a full size scooter. It comes apart with feather-touch disassembly, but the heaviest piece is around 78 lbs and the whole scooter is 179 lbs. That is not a scooter one person loads into a car. If it needs to travel regularly, look at a travel model instead, and if it will live at home, make sure there is somewhere to store and charge it. We would rather sort that out before you buy.
