About this product
Travel scooters usually have no suspension. Making one light enough to lift means stripping weight out, and springs are among the first things to go, which is why many portable scooters transmit every crack and joint in the pavement straight to the rider.
The Go-Go LX puts it back. Comfort-Trac Suspension gives independent front and rear springing, visible as Pride's yellow coils at each wheel, on a scooter that still comes apart into five pieces for the car. If you want portability but have found unsuspended travel scooters uncomfortable, this is the model that addresses it.
Taking it apart
Separation takes one hand. An auto-latching mechanism releases the front from the rear, the cable connects itself when you put it back together, the backrest folds down, the seat lifts off the post and the tiller swings down. The heaviest remaining piece is about 39 lbs.
Both colours in the box
Two sets of changeable colour panels, red and blue, are included, so the scooter can be either colour and change whenever you like.
Range, which needs a word
Pride quotes different range figures depending on which batteries are fitted, from around 5.5 miles on the standard pack up to about 10.5 miles on larger ones. That is a wide spread and it matters a great deal in practice, so ask us to confirm the battery and the range for the exact scooter being quoted. Do not assume the highest published figure applies.
Everyday details
Seven inch solid tires at the front and eight inch at the rear never puncture. The delta tiller drives one-handed with the charger port built in, and the dual voltage charger works on or off the scooter. An LED headlight and front basket are standard, and Pride warrants the structural frame for three years.
