The Revo 2.0 sits in an unusual spot: it is a full size scooter that comes apart like a travel one. Most take-apart scooters shrink the frame to manage it, which means less legroom, a smaller seat and a lower weight limit. The Revo keeps a 47 inch length, a 20 inch seat and a 400 lb capacity, then still separates into pieces for the car.

If you have looked at travel scooters and found them cramped, or looked at full size ones and realised you have nowhere to keep or transport them, this is the compromise worth examining.

The catch, stated plainly

It comes apart, but the heaviest piece is about 57 lbs and the whole scooter is around 182 lbs with batteries. That is lighter than a full size scooter but still a real lift. Come and try lifting the sections before you commit, particularly if one person will be loading it alone.

ECO and Sport

A switch on the console toggles between Sport at the full 5 mph and ECO at a slightly lower speed, which stretches the range on a single charge. On a long day out that choice is more useful than it sounds: you can travel further by simply accepting a slower pace.

Range is up to 17.8 miles for a lighter user and reduces as user weight rises, so treat the headline figure as a best case and tell us your usual distances.

Ride and everyday use

Comfort-Trac suspension front and rear, plus flat-free non-scuffing tires, handle gravel, grass and pavement joints without punctures to worry about. A 70 amp drivetrain gives it enough pull to ride confidently at the top of its weight range rather than merely tolerate it. The console has an LCD display, charging ports and USB, and a front basket is included.
