A reclining high-back seat with headrest and sliders lets you change position on a long ride instead of being fixed in one posture.
Infinite tiller adjustment
The tiller angle adjusts infinitely with a quick-adjust lever, so the steering position suits your reach and arm comfort.
Basket and mirror standard
A front basket and a rearview mirror come as standard, along with tie down points for transporting the scooter unoccupied.
About this product
The Pursuit XL is Pride's heavy duty outdoor scooter, and it is a genuinely large machine. Full front and rear suspension, 13 inch pneumatic tires, hydraulic disc brakes and 5.25 inches of ground clearance make it capable on gravel, grass, rough verges and steep kerb ramps where a mid-size scooter would ground out or lose grip.
Be clear about what it is not
This is not an indoor scooter. At 56 inches long and 27 inches wide with an 82.5 inch turning radius, it will not turn in a hallway, will not fit most bathroom doorways and is awkward in shop aisles. If you need one scooter for both indoors and out, look at a mid-size model instead. The Pursuit XL is for someone whose journeys are outdoors and long, and who has somewhere to keep it.
Range that changes the day
Up to 22 miles on Group 24 batteries or around 30 miles on Group 27. That is a different order of range from a travel scooter, enough for a full day out with no anxiety about getting home. Battery choice is worth deciding deliberately: the larger batteries add weight but roughly a third more range.
Comfort over distance
Over that kind of mileage the seat matters more than anything. The Pursuit XL has a reclining high-back seat with a headrest and sliders, and the tiller angle adjusts infinitely with a quick-adjust lever, so you can change your position on a long ride rather than being fixed in one posture.
Being seen
The lighting package is full LED and includes directional signals and automatic brake lighting. On a scooter that travels at 7.5 mph on and near roads, being able to signal a turn is a safety feature rather than a luxury. A front basket and rearview mirror come as standard.
One maintenance note
The tires are pneumatic, not solid. They give a far better ride, but they need their pressure checked weekly. If nobody will do that, tell us and we will talk you through the trade-off.
