About this product
The Endurance AL+ is Pride's travel scooter for people who want capacity and range without weight. A lithium battery and an aluminum frame bring it to 83 lbs without batteries, yet it carries 400 lbs, which is unusually high for a scooter that comes apart for the car.
Why lithium changes things
Lithium packs weigh far less than the sealed lead acid batteries most scooters use, charge faster and last longer over their life. The 16 Ah pack fitted here weighs about 12 lbs; an equivalent lead acid pack would be roughly double. On a scooter you have to lift, that matters, and the heaviest single piece here is 35.2 lbs.
Charge360
The charging port is magnetic. Instead of lining up a pin connector, the lead snaps into place. Charging is a daily task, often done in poor light and sometimes by someone with arthritic hands or a tremor, so removing the fiddliest part of it is a real improvement rather than a gimmick.
