About this product
The Baja Raptor 2 is a different kind of machine from the rest of our scooters. It does 13 mph, carries 400 lbs, runs 16 inch pneumatic tires with a coil spring at every wheel, and covers up to 21 miles on a charge. Pride sell it as a recreational scooter, and that is the honest description: it is for getting places and enjoying the ride, not for a trip round the supermarket.
Be realistic about the size
It is 62 inches long, 27 inches wide, weighs around 342 lbs and does not come apart. The turning radius is 92.5 inches, which is nearly eight feet. This will not go indoors, will not turn in a hallway, and cannot be lifted into a car. Moving it means a vehicle lift or a trailer, and storing it means a garage or shed with power. If any of those are a problem, this is the wrong scooter and we will point you to something else.
What the money buys
Genuine capability. Six inches of ground clearance at the side deck and full suspension mean gravel tracks, grass, rough verges and kerbs are all manageable. The lighting package has directional signals, brake lights and a proper headlamp, and there are dual rear-view mirrors, so it behaves like a vehicle rather than a mobility aid. Under-seat storage locks, the seat is memory foam with limited recline, and it arrives fully assembled and ready to ride.
