About this product
The Joerns Hoyer Up is a manual stand-aid used for transfers between bed, chair, commode and toilet. It suits a client who can bear some weight through their legs, has reasonable trunk control and can take part in the transfer, with a caregiver guiding.
There is no battery. The caregiver and client work the transfer together, which keeps the client actively standing. The padded knee supports hold the legs in place, and the split seat swings to make loading and unloading easier, including for toileting.
The frame comes apart in three pieces without tools, which helps with storage and with moving it between a home and a car. A therapist can advise whether a stand-aid is safe for the person, and we can arrange a trial.
