The padded bar spreads the person's weight across six sling points and rotates, so they can be turned to face the chair before being lowered.
Emergency lowering
If power is lost mid-transfer, a mechanical release lowers the person, so they are not left suspended while the caregiver finds help.
About this product
The Invacare Reliant 600 is a battery-powered floor lift for moving a larger client between bed, chair, commode and wheelchair. It is rated to 600 lbs, which suits bariatric clients and homes where a standard 300 to 450 lb lift would leave no margin.
This version has a power-opening base. The legs open and close from the hand pendant, so the caregiver does not need to work a lever while the person is in the sling. The low base slides under most beds, and the swivel bar lets the person be turned to face the chair before lowering.
A sling is required and is sized to the person. We can help choose one and show the caregiver how to use the lift safely before it goes home.
