The Human Care Altair is a ceiling lift motor that rides on an overhead track and is used to lift a person from bed, chair or bath and move them along the rail. The caregiver guides the person instead of carrying or pivoting them by hand, which lowers the physical strain on the person doing the transfer.
This listing is the 150 kg (330 lb) version of the motor, supplied without a hanger bar. The hanger bar is chosen separately to match the sling, and Human Care offers 2, 3 and 4 point options. The lift can also be taken off the rail and used on another track, so one motor can serve more than one room.
