Disposable Pull-On Underwear, Extra Large

Pull-on disposable underwear in extra large, worn like ordinary underwear by anyone still independent.

Features & Benefits

Why this one

Pull-on, not tabbed

Goes on like ordinary underwear with nothing to fasten, so someone independent manages it alone.

Fit cannot be adjusted

No tabs to adjust, so if the size is wrong there is nothing to correct it with.

Too small damages skin

Too small digs in, and an elasticated edge under constant pressure damages skin at the folds.

Requires standing

Needs standing and balance to change, so a tabbed brief is safer where a carer assists.

Dry the folds

Skin folds trap moisture and heat, so drying thoroughly and using a barrier cream matters more here.

Daytime product

A daytime product. If it is not lasting the night, ask about overnight underwear.

About this product

Disposable pull-on underwear in extra large. It goes on and comes off like ordinary underwear, with nothing to fasten.

Why people choose pull-on

For someone who walks to the bathroom and manages their own toileting, pull-on underwear changes very little about their day. They pull it up like underwear and nobody else is involved.

That independence is usually what people are buying, and for anyone still mobile it is the right starting point.

Fit matters more at larger sizes

A pull-on product relies on elastic sitting snugly at the waist and legs. There are no tabs to adjust, so if the size is wrong there is nothing to correct it with.

Too large and it leaks at the legs regardless of capacity. Too small and it digs in, and an elasticated edge under constant pressure damages skin, particularly where there are deeper skin folds.

Size by hip and waist measurement, not by the trouser size you buy. If you are between sizes, come in and we will work it out.

When a tabbed brief is better

Pull-on has to be stepped out of, which needs standing and balance. If a carer assists, or the person spends much of the day in bed or a chair, a tabbed brief is considerably more practical and safer for both people.

At larger sizes that is even more true, since standing someone to change a pull-on product is physically demanding.

Skin care

Clean gently at every change, dry thoroughly including in skin folds, and use a barrier cream. Folds trap moisture and heat, and that is where skin breaks down first.

Overnight

Standard pull-on underwear is a daytime product. If it is not lasting the night, ask us about overnight underwear rather than adding an underpad.
