Ontario ADP Funding Program

Let’s help you navigate the program to get funding for your mobility devices!

Program overview

ADP is a program operated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care that provides support and funding to Ontario residents who have long-term physical disabilities. The ADP contributes to covering the costs of items such as manual and power wheelchairs, rollators and walkers, scooters, and specialized seating.

Eligibility

ADP provides assistance to anyone with OHIP who needs mobility equipment for more than six months. ADP does not offer assistance to persons whose equipment is required as a result of a work related injury, or to ‘Group A’ Veterans who are covered for this equipment by their pension conditions. ADP does not depend on your income level.

Coverage

ADP covers 75% of the price of the mobility equipment. The price is already determined by the Ministry of Health. If you are on ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program), have benefits from Ontario Works, or are covered through the Assistance to Children with Severe Disabilities, you may be eligible to receive additional funds (up to 100%). Otherwise, you or your insurance will pay the remaining portion. ADP may also offer assistance in funding new equipment if your old equipment is worn out, or if your needs have changed.
